Serve Others And Love Yourself
This morning I reviewed my day and noted that I have a 2 o’clock appointment at the beauty shop. While my appointment is necessary for the cut and color I need, I view it as a time to pamper myself, to give myself a little tender loving care.
So many times people are so busy serving others, taking care of the household, the kids, the boss, their friends, and so on, that they don’t take the time for themselves.
When you’re running a home based business, this just adds the pouring out of yourself even more. Think about it. The purpose of our business is to serve others. Yes, we make money doing that, but we are achieving financial success by solving people’s problems and otherwise giving them what they are seeking.
When we are building teams in network marketing, we are lifting up others, encouraging others, sharing with others, giving of ourselves through time and energy.
Serving others, yes!
But Love Yourself Too!
I’d like to give you something to think about here.
Whether your man or woman, doesn’t matter.
As you are putting your best foot forward to build a home based business, be aware of how you’re treating yourself. Starting a business is challenging because everything is new. There’s the good ole’ fashioned, can’t be bypassed, learning curve.
I challenge you to reward yourself every week for the work you’re putting in to create a better life for yourself and your family.
If budget is tight, find things to do that are free and you just need to show up.
- Soak in a hot bath
- Ride your bike
- Take a walk
- Read a nonsense book
- Pack a picnic and go someplace quiet for an hour to reflect on your life, your awesomeness, your purpose.
If you can squeeze an extra $60 a month…
- Get a body massage
- Get a spa treatment
There’s nothing that says, I love you to yourself, than this.
Buy yourself some flowers (okay, I know, not the guys)
But you get my drift.
Do something that you do for YOU that loves on yourself.
When you get to the point where you can go weekly, go weekly.
Then a couple times a week.
Whenever!
You deserve to be pampered.
You’re worth it.
I love you guys and gals and thanks for being connected to me. I appreciate you.
I’m thinking of you today, but when I’m in the beauty shop today, I’ll love on me. 🙂
Thanks for the reminder Debbie. I think we do tend to forget to love and pamper ourselves. I’m going to my garden this afternoon even though part of me keeps saying: you should be working on your business. The other part says: the sun is out, it’s warm, spring is coming, I need some fresh air in my lunges and some dirt on my hands 🙂
Fabulous! Glad to hear you’re getting out and living life, doing the things that bring you joy. Thanks for coming by Xarah ~ Debbie
