What a fun night out with Mom and Red Hat friends for more Christmas Cheer!
My Mom is my super duper best friend in the whole world! I can’t imagine my life without her. She’s a pillar in my life and she’s one of those people that light up a room when she walks in.
Most of you don’t know I’m “one of those” Red Hat ladies. I turned 50 this year and Mom said, “Ok girl, time for Red Hats!” Very fun!
What’s a Red Hat lady? Well, have you seen or heard about groups of women who get together and wear red and purple, gaudy jewlrey and big hats with flowers and feathers? Well, that’s us. The Red Hatters are friends over the age of 50 that get together and look after and care for each other and their families. They go places, do things together and work on community projects.
My friends are awesome. We’re an active bunch who love to laugh, scrapbook, share recipes, go to the theatre, host teas and parties, make scrapbooks for Camp Courageous kids (a camp for terminally ill children) and many other things. Sounds girly huh? Yeah! I love it!
My Red Hat friends and I went to Nashville, Tennessee yesterday to see the New York City Rockette’s Christmas Show at The Grand Ole Opry. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I could not believe the perfect precision of the dancers. The toy solder, 12 days of Christmas and the live nativity were my favorites, but it was all very good.
After the show we went to the Aquarium restaurant and enjoyed great meal.
I remain so grateful for my Mom and Dad, for my friends and our freedom to Celebrate Christmas. What a blessed time of year.
My Dad drove us to Nashville, so I had to put a picture of him here too! Dad’s pretty awesome too!
