God Bless The USA

I love this song, "God Bless The U.S.A." by Lee Greenwood.  It says it best.

Happy Veterans Day To All Who Serve, Now And In The Past

Today is Veterans Day. It honors those who served: those who survived as well as those who died, those who served in peacetime as well as those who served in time of war, regular force or National Guard or reserve.

All who served "…wrote a blank check, payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including his life. The currency of freedom is the blood, sweat  and tears of a nation's people," as Gene Castignetti, director of the National  Cemetery of the Pacific once said. That check was cashed for varying amounts based on the needs of the moment, but all who served committed to the limit.

Because of their sacrifice and service….

… I can live where I want and come and go freely

… I can serve Jesus Christ publically

… I can be a home business entrepreneur

… I can have the children as I desire

… I can have education I want

… I can pursue whatever dreams I have and not fear

… I can speak my mind

… I can wear what I want to wear

… I CAN…. the list is long

As you enjoy today with barbecue, sports spectaculars, and special sales, spare a moment's thought for those the day honors.

To those who serve…I love you all.

To those who serve… I thank you all.
