Global Resorts Network Review

If you're considering purchasing the Global Resorts Network travel club membership to strictly use the product OR, if your intentions would be to refer it to others and generate income through a home based business, the following will be of great interest to you.

This isn't a review from someone who's not inherently involved with the company.  I own the membership, I know the owners, I have dealt with customer service, the works.

I always find it odd when people do reviews on products and companies when they are not affiliated with them, yet they want to portray themselves as an expert on the subject.  I suggest that if you're reading reviews, you read them from members who are actual affiliates and have been with Global Resorts Network for some time.  Then you'll get to know the good, the bad and the ins and outs.

Having said that, here's my Global Resorts Network review.

Here's what I considered before joining Global Resorts Network (aka GRN), back in 2007.  (And why I still use, market and generate income with GRN)

Global Resorts Network Established … Location …. and Owners

global resorts network reviewGlobal Resorts Network was established in 2006 as the exclusive online marketing arm for the travel vendor offering a luxury resort membership to the public.  The travel provider who was established in 1986, is a well known, highly respected giant in the travel, resort and timeshare industry.

Debbie Turner and Al Morales, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona

Global Resorts has Affiliates worldwide.  The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.  Upon their opening, they maintained a physical location at  22601 N. 17th Ave. Suite 230, Phoenix, AZ 85027. In 2010, they went to a virtual office merging low cost overhead practices and the advancement of technology together.

Global Resorts Network is separate from the travel provider.  They are two different offices and entities.  Global Resorts Network is one of many affiliate arms for the travel provider.  GRN is the exclusive affiliate for purchasing online and without sitting through a timeshare program.

Once you own the membership through Global Resorts Network you will deal directly with the travel vendor and search and book your resort stays right online through a secured platform.  You'll have personal attention with your travel professional through phone and email during regular business hours.

I first met Al Morales, the founder and CEO of Global Resorts Network back in 2009 and since then, have enjoyed many conversations with him.  I have found him to

be a straight shooter and down to earth.

In the fall of 2010, Mark Hoverson became part owner of Global Resorts Network.

I first met Mark in 2007 at a Jeff Mills Midwest Super Conference in Minn. where we were learning marketing strategies.  At the time we were both affiliates for a company called Coastal Vacations and had decided independently that Global Resorts Network was far superior.  We ended up partnering and got started with our Global Resorts Network businesses in the fall of 2007.

Global Resorts Network Offers Affiliates Many Ways To Market

global resorts network reviewThere are a SEVERAL ways that Global Resorts Network Affiliates can run their businesses and make money with this product.  This is highly unusual in your typical network marketing company but the nature of the product causes these options to be very flexible.  And having options to increase your income through your affiliate product is pretty cool.

  • Market the travel club membership as a retail product
  • Market the product and opportunity to those seeking a home based business
  • Market the product to those who go after the affiliate marketing business
  • Market the product Business to Business
  • Market the product as a fundraiser

There are also plans to bring in a consulting firm to take the company from where it is now to a household name in the next 5 years.

Throughout my interactions with Mr. Morales, the actual membership customer service, and the staff at Global Resorts, I have been met with the highest of integrity on all levels at all times.

Plans to bring in a consulting firm to take the company from where it is now to mega big and a household name is in the works.

Also, I should mention, Global Resorts Network gives it's affiliates the freedom to market using whatever method they choose.

Global Resorts Network Travel Club Benefits

Watch this short video overview to see why Global Resorts Network is a best travel solution

1)  Members have the privilege and ability to stay in 3 and 4 star timeshare resorts in over 5,000 locations worldwide. (You are NOT buying a timeshare, but rather a travel club membership allowing you access to timeshare resorts without the expense).

The savings to the members of the travel club is quite significant and in fact, it's not unheard of to recoup the cost of the entire membership after using it just once.  More often, however, it will take 2 or 3 times to recoup the cost of the membership, and then you have a lifetime to enjoy it.

Some of the resorts in the registry allow the public to stay at non-member pricing while others do not.  So in come cases, the only way to stay at these luxury timeshare resorts is to own the GRN membership or own the timeshare itself.

The resort accommodations are beautiful, 3 and 4 star properties with all the luxuries and amenities you desire, including high-end resorts with gorgeous bedrooms, big living rooms, full kitchens, and spacious balconies overlooking the ocean.

The Global Resorts Network Registry includes resorts that face world class golf courses, or breathtaking views of the mountains, many of which are only available otherwise through a timeshare purchase.

While some of the resorts are hotel settings, most are not.  You'll most likely find the resorts to include many of the following amenities:

  • Designer decorated furnishings
  • Fully equipped kitchens
  • King size beds
  • Living rooms with sleeper sofas
  • Spacious bathrooms
  • Stereos and fireplaces
  • Pools, hot tubs, and barbeques
  • Fitness Centers
  • Bikes and game rooms
  • Laundry facilities (although many units have washer/dryer)

Additionally, many resorts offer family and children activities.  This allows the adults to enjoy themselves while their children are involved with supervised programming guaranteed to give them a good time.

2)  No annual fees

3)  No taxes

4)  No maintenance fees or upkeep

5)  Unlimited use (based on your membership type purchase)

6)  No blackout dates

7)  Transferable and willable for $75 (each membership is good for 100 years)

The only costs you will pay after the purchase of your membership are for the actual trips you take. ($298-$799)

How to Search and Make Reservations Using the Global Resorts network Membership

global resorts network

Members make their reservations by searching the registry of resorts to locate destinations where they desire to travel and then choose the resort they want to stay at.  This is all done through an online searching and booking process wherein each member is provided their own secure login name and password and where they have access to communicate via phone and email directly with customer service.

The search engine and list of resorts, vacation specials, and travel deals, are all behind this secure online platform.

Searching for and selecting resort stays is easy to do. All the information is provided to the member including the name and location of the resort, resort and unit amenities, things to do onsite and offsite, the weather for the area, directions from the airport and all terms and conditions.

Once members have decided on a resort, finishing up their reservation takes just a minute through one of two ways.

1)  By selecting from a list of resorts who have published the exact dates each has available, how many people the unit sleeps and what the total cost is.  In this case, the member may reserve and pay for it instantly through PayPal.

2)  By requesting a stay at a specific resort for a specific date.  In this case, customer service goes to work immediately to accommodate them.  If the vendor is unable to confirm the member’s dates for the requested specific resort, the member will be provided with other choices of resorts in the city/town/area they want to travel.  They will have the option to accept or decline any offer.  The vendor works diligently to accommodate its members to affect a satisfactory outcome.

Either way, members receive all confirmation and travel documents which they are able to print off safely through their communication and reservation center in the travel club back office which can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

Member pricing for the resort stays range from $298 and cap at $799 (most cap at $698) which includes 7 nights and 8 days accommodations.  The cost of the resort stays is the actual lodging and most often taxes as well.

In some areas of the world a member will be required to pay a resort tax but there are never any surprises before the member books.  All fees (if any) are disclosed before the member confirms their final reservations.

There are some all-inclusive resorts offered in the membership as well.  If a member reserves these, there will be all-inclusive fees, of course.

Global Resorts Network Membership: Much More Than Just Resort Stays

global resorts network review

The mainstay of the Global Resorts Network product is the 7 night, 8 day resort stay.  However, because of the travel vendor’s reputation in the industry, “as a courtesy”, members have access to search engines where they can search for best pricing on other travel needs.  For example ,air fare, car rentals, hotels, cruises, specialty vacations, short stays, etc.

I have used both the airfare and car rental services and have found the best deal through these search engines about 80% of the time.

Difference Between Global Resorts Network Member and  Member/Affiliate

By the way…. The cost difference?  $100 per year.

global resorts network review

A Global Resorts Network member

Someone who owns the membership and not the Affiliate status.  In this case, the member pays NO additional yearly fees.  They bought the travel club and that’s the end of the story.

Global Resorts Network Member Affiliate

A Global Resorts Network member who paid the extra $100 and wants to refer the membership to others for a commission.

Can a Global Resorts Network Member become an Affiliate Later?  YES!

If someone purchases the membership with no desire or intention of becoming an affiliate, then at some point decides to go ahead and become an affiliate, they simply notify Global Resorts Network, pay their $100 affiliate fee and they are good to go for one year.  It’s just that simple.

Global Resorts Network Compensation Plan

The Global Resorts Network Compensation Plan is a direct sales model.

Commission amounts are as follows:

The affiliate will be paid at the level for which they are qualified.

If the Global Resorts Network Affiliate owns the Gold Membership and makes a sale regardless if that sale is a Gold, Platinum or Platinum Plus, he/she only receives $1,000.

This Affiliate's Sponsor receives a matching bonus of $1,000.

=======

If the Global Resorts Network Affiliate owns the Lifetime Platinum Membership and makes a Gold sale, he/she earns $1,000 commission.  If it's a Platinum Sale, he/she earns a $2,000 commission, if it's a Platinum PLUS sale, he/she earns a $2,000 commission only.

This Affiliate's Sponsor receives a matching bonus of $1,000 for the Gold or $2,000 for the Platinum.

=======

If the Global Resorts Network Affiliate owns the Lifetime Platinum PLUS Membership and makes a Gold sale, he/she earns $1,000 commission.  If it's a Platinum Sale, he/she earns a $2,000 commission, if it's a Platinum PLUS sale, he/she earns a $7,000 commission only.

This Affiliate's Sponsor receives a matching bonus of $1,000 for the Gold, $2,000 for the Platinum and $2,000 for the Platinum PLUS.

WATCH THIS PAY PLAN VIDEO

Global Resorts Network Leveraged Matching Bonuses

In addition, the Global Resorts Network Affiliate will receive a matching bonus on any sales made by their personally sponsored Affiliates.  These matching bonuses are paid to unlimited depths as the first person in each leg is coded to you.

So if you are platinum qualified yourself for example… and you refer John and John makes a platinum sale…. John receives $2K and so do you.  If John makes 100 platinum sales and $200K, so do you.  You receive a matching bonus of whatever John receives.

So for example,  if an Affiliate sponsored 5 people and those 5 people each made 1 sale a month for a total of 5 sales in any given month each of those 5 people would receive their $2000 commission and their sponsor would also receive a matching bonus of $2000 commission per sale for a total of $10,000 that month.
